The Ministry organized a workshop in the field of fumigation of food commodity stores in the Food Security Department in Muscat Governorate, with the participation of workers in the field of pest control and pesticides from various directorates affiliated with the Ministry and a number of participants from Al-Murouj Agricultural Services and Trade Company.
The seminar aims to introduce participants to the method of controlling insects that infect grains in warehouses using magnesium phosphide sheets (phosphine gas), and to learn about the latest technologies and fumigants used in combating pests of grains and stored materials and the best ways to apply these techniques in warehouses.
During the episode, a presentation was given in the field of fumigation of warehouses of food commodities and used pesticides, and practical training was given in one of the warehouses on how to correctly use fumigation sheets to control insects in warehouses.
The episode was presented by a German expert from the Dietia Degesch Company, which produces fumigation sheets (magnesium phosphide), in cooperation with Al-Morouj Agricultural Services and Trade Company.
